Stephen Adu-Amoani

In August 2017, the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) appointed Stephen Adu-Amoani as Executive Director of ILF Africa and the Caribbean. Mr. Adu-Amoani’s role facilitates the ILF’s expansion and growth of key initiatives focused on leadership development across the continent.

Born in Accra, Ghana, Adu-Amoani earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1989. He began his career in National Service as Director of Planning in 1990. In 1991, he began working with a NGO as a staff trainer. Adu-Amoani transitioned to many roles with this NGO over the next 31 years, including Director for Training, National Administrator, Director for Strategy and Field Operations, Operations Director, and Financial Controller/Crisis Management Leader. In June 2007, he earned a Executive M.B.A in Finance.

Mr. Adu-Amoani has traveled extensively and has skills and competencies in executive team leadership, organizational strategy and development, respecting and leveraging human capital, staff training and policy development, and financial management. He is also a certified internal auditor with experience in many countries.

As Executive Director for ILF Africa and the Caribbean, Mr. Adu-Amoani’s passion is to “see leaders of integrity at the helm of affairs of all domains of society.”

Stephen Adu-Amoani married Diana in 1993, and they have three adult children: Joseph, David, and Joanna. They reside in Accra, Ghana.
