John N. Ng’ang’a is the managing consultant for Taruma Consultants, LTD. He consults widely in petroleum, logistics, leadership development, organizational culture, performance management, and other specialties. He is heavily involved in training leaders throughout Africa.

Mr. Ng’ang’a started his career in the 1970s as a development banker before moving on to the petroleum industry. He retired from a multinational oil company’s Kenya country leadership team as its distribution and operations manager.

Mr. Ng’ang’a studied at Kijabe and Alliance High Schools before proceeding to the University of Nairobi, Kenya, where he graduated with a B.A. in Communications. He also holds a M.A. in Leadership from the International Leadership University in Nairobi, Kenya. Mr. Ng’ang’a has diverse management and petroleum operations certifications within and outside Kenya.Mr. Ng’ang’a is a member of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), the Chartered Institute of Marketing–London (CIM), and the Professional Trainers Assignation of Kenya (PTAK). He also sits on the Petroleum Institute of East Africa Board, chairs the Shevo Board, and is a patron of the Ex-School of Petroleum Fellowship.John Ng’ang’a speaks and writes extensively on leadership and interpersonal relations.
