Prof. Mike Wicker

Based on his research on transformational leadership in the African context, Prof. Mike Wicker believes change happens from the inside out. Mike holds a Ph.D. in Educational and Organizational Leadership. As a Campus Crusade for Christ staff member, Wicker served in a South African homeland during apartheid as a Team Leader and Engineer in Lesotho as a National Country Coordinator and college lecturer and in Zimbabwe as Academic Dean at the Africa Leadership & Management Academy (ALMA).

With 45 years of service across the African continent, Prof. Wicker is a professor at the International Leadership Universities (ILU) in Burundi, Cameroon, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe, as well as the ALMA University College in Ghana. Since his Setswana name given to him is “Tsepo,” meaning “Hope,” Mike’s life calling is to bring “hope” and spiritual encouragement to those around him.

Prof. Wicker is Vice President of Education with the International Leadership Foundation (ILF). He is married to Helen and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
