The Foundation's History
The International Leadership Foundation holds the view that nations around the world can be positively transformed by discovering, developing and empowering leaders of integrity.
Most leaders in government, business and the Church throughout Africa have agreed that improved leadership is needed on the continent. Since 1990, there has been a growing consensus amongst African leaders for a center on leadership studies that balance between the theoretical and practical models of leadership. African leaders need to develop their own new paradigms and resources on leadership based on their context of practice.
In order to encourage societal transformation, a training approach needs to be holistic in nature that includes a leader's personal, relation and professional life. Such a framework for change should be based on biblical, professional and contemporary principles.
In 2004, Dr. Delanyo Adadevoh from Ghana, established the International Leadership Foundation in direct response to the needs for developing leaders of integrity in Africa. ILF is registered as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
In 2010 ILF began expanding efforts on a global scale.
